7 Bedroom House in Blanco

River update 7/8/25 - river level is at a great level for recreational enjoyment. If central Texas is experiencing a drought, the river level can be very low or dry. We are happy to answer any questions. It's a beautiful river valley.
The Blanco River Retreat consists of TWO newly renovated houses situated on 6 riverfront, rolling acres nestled in the heart of the hill county between Wimberley and Blanco, Texas - within a 15-45 minute drive from most hill country destinations. Blanco River Retreat was featured in Texas Monthly magazine as a top rated vacation spot.
The Retreat comfortably accommodate 23 guests with 5 private bedrooms and 2 bedrooms that can be private or shared. Less bunking up and more privacy!
There is plenty of room in the lodge house for everyone to congregate and enjoy each other, yet the two houses allow plenty of space for everyone to spread out as well - a great feature to have in a property. The two houses are approx 100 yards a part.
You will have easy access to 255 yards of the beautiful Blanco River - that's over 2 football fields long y'all. We have easy river rock beach access to the river and have varying depths in our section of the river - all dependent on rainfall of course. .
Our Main Lodge is 4 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms featuring plenty of entertaining space, 3 private bedrooms with baths and a recreational/bunk room suite. Each bedroom has a king sized bed and a private full bathroom. The downstairs bunk room/suite has a queen bed and twin bed (bunk style) in a semi- private corner room, and a queen pull-out sofa bed with a premium mattress in the open area with a smart TV with Direct TV, wet bar, mini fridge, full bathroom, and direct access to outside.
Our farmhouse inspired converted barn is 2 bedrooms, 1 large shared loft and 2.5 baths. The barn-house has two bedrooms downstairs (one king bedroom and one queen bedroom). Both rooms share a large full bathroom and a half bath on the first floor. An exterior staircase leads to an adorable farmhouse loft that is perfect for families, a teen hang out, or like minded guests. The upstairs loft has a full bathroom, 2 queen beds, 1 full sized bed, a pull out sofa, smart TV and DVD and a table and chairs for games/puzzles, etc.
The two kitchens are new with all major appliances and fully stocked with dishes, silverware, bar ware and serve ware.
The property also features a large, resort style swimming pool, an over-sized hot tub large enough to seat 10 people, and a cozy fire pit. All in a beautiful spot in the Blanco River valley. THE POOL IS NOT HEATED.
Both houses have amazing views and direct access to the Blanco river. We welcome you all to come sit by the river and make life long memories with those you love.
SURVEILLANCE NOTE: There a security camera mounted on the barn-house. This is more than 100 yards away from the pool and river areas.

Summary: Our family reunion of siblings /spouses found the retreat property a perfect setting for a quiet weekend of togetherness. The house(s) were extremely well appointed, leaving nothing to want. The location was central and convenient to many of the desirable Hill Country excursions and nearby Blanco’s quaintness and chill Vibe was perfect. Great communication and accurate property listing.

Summary: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. We had 20 family and friends and we were able to gather communally easily and yet plenty of places for folks to also have private space. Easy to cook for the group in the gorgeous kitchen which was equipped with everything we needed. Beds were comfortable, pool was just as nice as the online pics, and the outdoor spaces were great. Sad that the river was still dry this year but lovely views from every window and deck.

Summary: I cannot say enough about how fantastic this place is!! We gathered for Christmas to honor 4 generations and it was more special than I even imagined. The kitchen was incredibly equipped!! We had everything we needed to prepare, cook, & serve 20 of us. In fact, the best set up I’ve had with any house I’ve rented. The host was available for all we needed, and prioritized the importance of our stay. The beds, the amenities, the property itself was so comfortable and accessible. From our family kickball game, to fire pit chats, to hot tub use….there was more than enough to make our time together truly special. I would love to rent again in the summer and be able to use the pool! It’s a beautiful place!! Thank you Cathy for all you’ve done to make this an experience! We’ll be back!

Summary: This place is perfect for our corporate retreat. We had our planiing, soeakers and exercises in the lodge and our leadership team also stayed at the lodge. The barn and the downstairs at the lodge was perfect for everyone else. We all especially enjoyed the architecture of the two homes. The pool area was also nice and looked great at night. We also enjoyed all if the deer. The manager was kind, checked in often and had a nice note and bottle of wine for us. Would have been great if if there was water in the creek yet nonetheless it was a great experience and wed stay again. Wed love to see tbe owner build another guest house with 3 to 4 more bedrooms on the same property. Only other nice touch cpuld be some steing lights in front and back for more light. Thanks for everything.
